Our Services

A writer can run into difficulties at any stage of the creative process, from the initial premise to the final “Fade Out”. It may be as fundamental as characters that lie flat on the page or as minor as a little smoothing out around the edges.

We provide different levels of service so you can get the feedback most appropriate to your needs.

Standard Service

  • Reading and analysis of a completed script, including at least four pages of general comment covering Character and Dialogue, Plot and Structure, Theme, and Presentation

  • Additional specific notes to illustrate these general points, usually running 6-8 pages

  • Answering additional supplementary questions by phone or email to a maximum of one-half hour.

Enhanced Service

  • As Standard Service, but incorporating a more detailed page-by-page analysis, usually running 15-18 pages

  • Answering additional supplementary questions by phone or email to a maximum of one hour.

Intensive Service

This service takes a screenplay from initial concept up to and including completion of a first draft. The starting point might be as developed as a full outline of plot, subplots, and characters, or as basic as a central premise. It includes:

  • Responding to preparatory written documents

  • Answering additional supplementary questions by phone or email to a maximum of two hours

  • Enhanced report on the completed first draft

  • Reports on subsequent drafts, subject to negotiation.

Coverage Service

A 2-4 page report that approximates the feedback the project might get from a studio or production company reader, assessing the script’s strengths and weaknesses from a producer’s point of view.

Other Services

Although we are primarily oriented towards feature films scripts, we are also happy to advise on non-fiction scripts, treatments, shorts, television, animation, and plays. Re-writing services available, subject to negotiation.
